The one room that's always five degrees off
It's the complaint we hear more than almost any other: the living room is perfect, but the back bedroom or the bonus room over the garage never quite gets there. Most homeowners assume the thermostat is lying or the unit is undersized. Usually neither is true. It's an air balancing problem, and it lives in the duct system, not the equipment.
We measure supply airflow at each register with a hood, check the return path back to the air handler, and adjust dampers at the trunk line rather than closing the register itself. Closing a register just raises static pressure on the whole system and starves whatever room is downstream of it. Done at the trunk, one room stops running five degrees behind the rest of the house without punishing the room next to it.

A filter choked down to a felt mat
A one inch filter picked up at the grocery store, especially a high MERV one bought with good intentions, packs down to something close to a felt mat within a month in a house running its system as hard as Saline County summers require. Once that happens, static pressure across the whole system climbs, and the evaporator coil starts starving for airflow. Left long enough, that coil ices over and the system that was cooling the house yesterday is blowing warm air today.
We install real air filtration, including deeper media cabinets sized to breathe with the system rather than fight it, and we install standalone air purifiers where a household wants a step beyond that. Both are on our published service list alongside air balancing, and both are quicker fixes than most people expect once the actual cause is identified rather than guessed at.

Humidity is the real Central Arkansas air quality problem
A correctly sized air conditioner runs long enough on a humid Saline County afternoon to actually pull moisture out of the air along with the heat. An oversized unit, which is a more common mistake than people realize, satisfies the thermostat fast and shuts back off before it's done much dehumidifying, which leaves a house that reads seventy two degrees but still feels cold and clammy. We install whole-house dehumidifiers for that exact problem, and humidifiers for the opposite one that shows up here every winter.
